This page has been accessed 273 times.

The Bechman(n) surname (with an "h") seems to be a family group that is distinct from the numerous Beckman(n) (with a "k") and Bachman(n) family groups that have come out of Europe over the past 3-4 centuries. This is a One Name Study to collect together in one place everything about the Bechman(n) family lines.

At the moment, we know of the following locales where Bechmann ancestors have been found:

  • Dorfchemnitz, Freiberg, German Electorate of (Upper) Saxony (16th century);
  • Serba (Saale-Holzland-Kreis District), German Duchy of Saxe-Jena (Thüringia) (17th century);
  • Rotenfels (Rastatt District), German Duchy of Baden-Durlach (18th century);
  • Albersdorf, Dithmarschen, Schleswig-Holstein (18th century);
  • København, Danmark (19th century).

Please add any information related to the Bechman(n)s to this page. The hope is that other researchers like you will join our study to help make it a valuable reference point for people studying lines that cross or intersect. Please contact the project leader, add categories to your profiles, add your questions to the bulletin board, add details of your name research, etc.
